เมื่อวันที่ 26 สิงหาคม 2569 เวลา 12.00 น. ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี มอบหมายให้ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี เป็นผู้แทนรับมอบหนังสือจากกลุ่มผู้ชุมนุมรับฟังความคิดเห็น ซึ่งเรียกร้องให้รัฐบาลพิจารณาเสนอชื่อจังหวัดปราจีนบุรีเข้าสู่เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC)
กลุ่มผู้ชุมนุมรับฟังความคิดเห็นจำนวนราว 600–700 คน ซึ่งปักหลักรวมตัวบริเวณหน้าศูนย์ราชการจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี ได้เคลื่อนขบวนมายังศาลากลางจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี เพื่อยื่นหนังสือเรียกร้องให้รัฐบาลขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจด้านอุตสาหกรรมในพื้นที่ เช่นเดียวกับกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคตะวันออก (ชลบุรี ระยอง ฉะเชิงเทรา) เพื่อสร้างงาน สร้างโอกาสแก่ลูกหลานในท้องถิ่น พร้อมจัดระเบียบโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมให้เข้าสู่ระบบเพื่อดูแลสิ่งแวดล้อม อนุรักษ์ฟื้นฟูธรรมชาติ และยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนตามมาตรฐานสากล โดยเน้นย้ำมาตรการความปลอดภัย การควบคุมมลพิษ การกำกับดูแลโรงงาน และการจัดการกากอุตสาหกรรมอย่างเป็นระบบ

การยื่นหนังสือครั้งนี้เป็นการแสดงออกเชิงสัญลักษณ์ต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่วันที่ 24 สิงหาคม 2569 (รวมระยะเวลา 3 วัน) เพื่อสะท้อนความต้องการของประชาชนที่อยากเห็นจังหวัดปราจีนบุรีเติบโตอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ไม่เสียโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจ การลงทุน และการจ้างงาน โดยการพัฒนาต้องอยู่บนพื้นฐานความโปร่งใส มีธรรมาภิบาล และเปิดให้ภาคประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมกำหนดอนาคตพื้นที่
ภายหลังรองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดรับมอบหนังสือและรับฟังข้อเสนอแนะจากตัวแทนกลุ่มผู้ชุมนุมรับฟังความคิดเห็น พร้อมรับปากจะส่งต่อหนังสือฉบับดังกล่าวไปยังรัฐบาล สร้างความพึงพอใจแก่กลุ่มผู้ชุมนุม ก่อนประกาศยุติการชุมนุมและแยกย้ายกลับอย่างสงบในเวลาประมาณ 13.00 น.
